Check the Pool Supplies Section to Keep Your Family Entertained this Year

There is a great variety of ways to keep an enthusiastic family occupied during those sweltering summer days.  Water sports are a terrific form of entertainment that not only use up some pent-up energy, but also help to cool everyone down.

Basketball, volleyball and Marco Polo are all games that have been known to inspire water fun.  For the electronically inclined, AC-powered speed boats make for a great pool race.

No matter the activity your family chooses to partake in, sitting poolside will keep everyone content and cool.  Pool basketball games are found at stores that carry pool supplies.

These are often height adjustable, so all family members can participate. Purchasing a high quality set is important if you plan to use the game for more than one year.   The less expensive sets seem to succumb to chlorine and sun damage very quickly.

Top rail volleyball setups are also great for sports-oriented families.  The net is strung across the width of the water and hooked to posts that attach to the top rail.   Marco Polo is a game that does not involve equipment. All it takes are a handful of people and a little enthusiasm.

Similar to hide and seek, the object of Marco Polo is for a person with their eyes closed to seek out and find the other players. The seeker calls “Marco” and the hiders call “Polo.”    When a person is tapped on the shoulder by the seeker, that person then becomes the new seeker. The game continues as long as the players stay interested.

Another fun option is RC boats.  Using wireless remotes, siblings can race their boats around the pool to see who has the quickest marine engine.   They can also use the boats in a game of Another fun option is RC boats.
